Mistake #3 - Doing the same exercises over and over again (or worse, not having a program)


I often see people following the same training program for months and months. Funny thing is? Their bodies usually look the same month after month.

But even worse are when people don't follow any proven workout program at all. That is the best way to prevent progress, get discouraged and eventually give up on your goals.

Now, here is another little known secret: the truth is that evolution has hard-wired our body to make it as difficult as possible to lose fat and build muscle.

50,000 years ago when our ancestors lived in the wild, body fat was essential for their survival. Their next meal was never a guarantee, and stored fat ensured survival if they did not eat for a few days.

In other words, the #1 priority of our body is to survive. Because of that, the body wants to store fat and spend as little energy as possible.

If you don't vary your workout routines on a frequent basis, your body will adapt to it and and it will lose its effectiveness over time.1,2

That's why you often see people who are doing the same exercises for months... And yet their bodies never change!

Just to give you an idea of how important this concept is, my clients are able to choose from five different types of workouts. Each workout is followed for a maximum of 30 days. After 30 days, they switch programs. This prevents the body from adapting, which increases the effectiveness of the program overall.

If you don't change your program frequently (or especially if you don't have one at all), you may end up never reaching the results you want.

There is a lot of bad and misleading information on the internet, and the methods that truly work are hard to find. So, it's 100% normal to feel confused and discouraged.
